Are you up for a challenge? Of course you are, we all love to challenge ourselves!
Welcome to our Books and Brew Club 12 Month Challenge, a fun way to help you to set yourself reading goals and stick to them.
You want to read regularly, but life gets in the way. We get it.
You know that reading relaxes you, it's a proven stress-reliever, it can help you to sleep more peacefully, it's great for improving your memory, and over and above all of this, you simply enjoy it. But aahhh, it can be tricky to find the time and form this habit. That's where this challenge comes in.
We have created this challenge as we have had so many conversations with friends over the years who'd love to read more, but never quite get round to it.
We think setting a goal of 12 books a year, one a month, is a great place to start and of course we are here to support you with this, if you need us!
We can send you a book to your door every single month (check out our great value subscription offer here) along with delicious brews, so you don't even have to think about what to read next, getting hold of your next read or running out of books. We have you covered.
The 12 Month Challenge is open to absolutely everyone to join in with. The more of us taking part, the more we can all support one another.
Top Tips for completing the challenge:
> Build a reading habit. Little and often is usually better than an all or nothing approach here.
> Set aside a time in your day that suits you to read. This might be your daily commute, lunch break or just before bed. When you look for times, you'll find something even if it's just ten minutes each day.
> Keep a simple reading log. Here's where this printable grid will help you. Having something visual like this to complete each month will help you to keep on track. Don't be disheartened if you fall behind, you may well find you read more in some months than others, just shoot for 12 across the year and it will even itself out.
> Let people know you're doing it. By telling others, you will feel more committed to your goal and they can help encourage you along the way.
> If you stumble across a book, author or genre that just doesn't draw you in, don't give up. Try something else, it might just not be for you, or you might be in the mood for something else.
> Keep your book close. You never know when you might be able to grab some extra reading time!
